Lucy Crowther

Lucy studied engineering at Imperial College, London, and worked for a number of years in the City; she was called to the Bar in 1999 (Inner Temple).

Since then she has specialized in defending serious and sensitive criminal cases requiring special care and tact, especially those involving vulnerable witnesses. Examples include murder involving mental health issues and necrophilia, a mother charged with a historic and deliberate scalding of her four year old boy a father charged with rape and controlling the prostitution of his daughter, a prominent local councillor alleged to have indecently assaulted a young single mother in her own home, and a grandfather taking indecent images of his female grandchildren in exchange for money.

She has for some years defended police officers in misconduct tribunals and criminal courts.

Lucy has prosecuted serious fraud including a very large scale local county council education fund fraud; she regularly acts for local authorities in their regulatory function.

Lucy is a member of the Welsh Assembly Government´s Panel of Counsel in Criminal Law and a Grade 4 CPS Prosecutor.

She is recommended by the Legal 500 2009.
