Overview
Aliyah was called to the bar in 2020 and joined Chambers as a tenant in 2023, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Andrew Kendall.
Crime
Aliyah prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court, Youth Court, and Magistrates’ Court. She is regularly instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service, local authorities, and police forces. Aliyah has experience defending cases involving drugs, serious violence, dishonesty, and complex evidential
issues. She is also adept at handling cases involving issues.
She is also adept at handling cases involving vulnerable witnesses, sensitive disclosure, and multi-handed proceedings. Aliyah places particular emphasis on building strong rapport with her clients, ensuring they feel supported, informed and confident throughout proceedings.

Aliyah has extensive experience in the field of professional discipline and regularly appears in Fitness to Practise proceedings. She is frequently instructed in cases involving allegations of professional misconduct, dishonesty, probity and reputational risk. Aliyah is particularly effective in matters requiring careful management of professional clients and the handling of complex or sensitive evidence.

Aliyah has developed a broad regulatory practice and is regularly instructed by local authorities from the early stages of investigation through to contested hearings and prosecution.
