OVERVIEW
Called to the bar in 1992, Andrew has a large and varied criminal practice and has defended in high profile cases including several murder cases: including baby shaking, domestic violence and revenge killings; serious sexual cases including multiple rapes by children (R v G); fraud cases including large scale fraud against the NHS, large VAT frauds (Operation Rhino) and various high profile drugs conspiracies (eg Operation Ghana).
Andrew recently defended in a large scale and high profile police corruption case heard entirely in camera for a period of two months which included complex issues under RIPA and CHIS handling provisions (R v Lloyd and Jones).
Andrew also regularly prosecutes in serious cases including frauds and rape trials. In addition Andrew has prosecuted in complex regulatory matters including health and safety prosecutions, trading standards, animal health and new foods regulations on behalf of a number of Local authorities.
