OVERVIEW

Marian has a wide ranging practice. She is regularly instructed by the prosecution and defence both as junior and leading junior in cases of homicide, complex fraud, serious and historic sexual offences, child cruelty and drugs

conspiracies. Whilst she has been recognised as possessing particular expertise and sensitivity in dealing with

vulnerable witnesses and clients she has successfully represented many professional clients.

Marian lectures regularly on Evidence, Current Legal Developments and Sexual Offences for accredited courses

and seminars provided by The Wales and Chester Circuit and The Law Society. She also assists in providing advocacy training to young practitioners on Circuit.

She is a fluent Welsh speaker and is therefore able and happy to advise and represent clients in this language.

Drugs

(Operation Hallett) Case involved a number of defendants in a national conspiracy to supply

controlled drugs. The defendant was arrested in possession of over 180 kgs of cannabis resin in his

LGV. Although ultimately convicted, applications for the introduction of bad character evidence were

successfully opposed on 2 occasions during the 7 week trial.
